State Filing Coordinator
Job Description:
Martin & Company has an excellent opportunity in their Compliance Division and is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their State Filing Coordinator position.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and submission of Property & Casualty rate, rule, and form filings countrywide
Preparation of responses (as requested by client) to DOI interrogatories
Tracking filing status
Review and analysis of bureau circulars/bulletins
Various research projects
Assist with product development
Communicate with clients and state DOIs
Qualifications:
Individual must have Property & Casualty rate, rule, and form filing experience. Product Development and independent program filing experience a plus.
Qualified candidates must be: detail oriented, analytical, accurate, organized, able to work under time constraints, self-motivated, energetic, able to work independently and as part of a team, flexible and responsive to change, and customer service oriented. In addition, candidate must be proficient with: SERFF, I-File, exploring the internet for various research projects, Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) and other PC applications. Also requires excellent math aptitude, communication, and time management skills. |

Consulting Actuary
Job Description:
This position will work closely with our State Filings and Product Development Departments in order to prepare and submit thousands of rate, rule and form filings annualy. The Actuarial Analyst will also work with Program Business clients to analyze performance of a particular book of business, engage in the analyses of the loss experience and recommend appropriate rate changes.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with competitor analyses, ratemaking, rate filings, product development and statement of actuarial opinions.
Preparing rate level analyses for various P&C products, competitor rate comparisons for filing projects, initial rate development for new projects and post-compliance reviews.
Candidate will be responsible for providing proper rate filing support and assisting with responses for rate related interrogatories.
Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have successfully completed two to five actuarial exams.
Ability to handle multiple client projects is a must.
Ideal candidate would be be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills.
